01.
Goal
I was invited to contribute to a pitch for a pensions module within Delta Lloyd’s mobile app. Working closely with our sales lead, my objective was to turn abstract pension data into a tangible, user-friendly experience that clients and stakeholders could easily engage with.

02.
Process
To make the proposal as convincing as possible, I aimed for high fidelity and realism. I took the actual data supplied by the client and wove it into the mockups – so that when stakeholders viewed the screens, they immediately recognized their own pension figures and dynamics.

But I didn’t stop at just the pension screens. I evaluated the app holistically: I suggested enhancements to the notifications center and profile menu to better integrate the new pension functionality into the existing structure.

03.
Outcome
Delta Lloyd, a major player in Dutch insurance and pension services, responded enthusiastically to our pitch. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter the company was acquired by Nationale-Nederlanden, and the proposed pension feature was never formally launched.
Even so, the design exercise remains one of my favorite explorations in translating complex financial information into clean, approachable interfaces – a challenge that shaped how I think about data-driven UX.
